Spread the word! The International Day of People with Disabilities every December 3 is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being.

In 2014, the theme is "Sustainable Development: The Promise of Technology".

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities will focus on the role of technology in Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Responses, Creating Enabling Working Environments, and Disability-Inclusive Sustainable Development Goals.
