PRC Released Psychometrician Board Exam Schedule

Finally the SCHEDULE we're all waiting for is here!!!

But before you get too excited there, let me just warn you that this could be both a good news and a bad news. Yeah! Good news is yes, after all the waiting the Philippine Regulatory Commission set the schedule for the Psychologist/Psychometrician Licensure Exam.

However, for some, this could be a bad news...

Aren't we expecting the board exam later this year?? We expected that the exam would took place sometime in December or worst January of 2014.

But to my surprise, here's the schedule I found on PRC's website...

Source: http://www.prc.gov.ph/uploaded/documents/2014ExamSched.pdf

You've seen it right!

The Psychologist Licensure Exam would be held on October 26 & 27, 2014 while the Psychometrician Board Exam would take place on October 28 & 29, 2014...

awww...I thought it will be on January 2014 instead it will be on October..my favorite month of the year (haha!). How sad is that?

All the things I reviewed last month...well, I must read them again next year. (sad face)

The brighter side is...PRC gave us enough time to prepare ourselves. I bet the exam would be hard since it took a lot of preparation.

I don't know if this is all final...

Leave me some comment below guys.

Reviewing General Psychology with Udacity

How's everyone? How was your review?

I'm sure everyone's excited with the upcoming board exam but unfortunately, until now it was not scheduled yet. Grrr! I hope it would be scheduled soon.

On my last post about the New Way of Learing Psychology, I mentioned about Udacity.com. I enrolled on their Intro to Psychology class and so far, it's all fun. Even though I have learned enough about General Psychology before at school, it was still a nice experience to watch and learn from foreign teachers, especially that Psychology is more often on the Western side.

If you are reviewing at home like me, I would suggest that you also enroll yourself on the MOOC about Psychology. It's all free so no worries.

I started of with Theories of Personality, right? Because I thought that my stock knowledge in General Psychology would be good enough. But it proved me wrong, because while watching the lecture videos, I have to pause and I was like "OMG, I forgot about that" or "Wait, I have to check my notes on that." Good thing I enrolled just in time. Currently, I was on the Fourth Lesson and was hoping to finish all 16 lessons at the end of October which left me a month to review Ab Psych and Personality Assessment which is more on the practical side.

So, if you're reviewing at home, enroll at Udacity.com and start refreshing your General Psychology with their lecture videos and quizzes. You'll have a great time, instead of just reading and highlighting terms on your books, listen and watch their videos.

Reviewing isn't just about reading your notes and books or answering practice exams, you can also review the fun way while you are browsing the internet. So, I have to go and see my Udacity class. Have a great time!

Now, about the Blog Title...

I was preoccupied lately with this new form of education..actually is not a form of education but it's the way I perceived it. It's a new way to learn things.

I'm talking about the MOOCs..if you wanna know more about it you can check my Blog Post: "Prioritizing."

But for now, let me focus on a specific topic. MOOCs are offered for free so, I really took the time to research about it and here's what I found.

One of the leading MOOC giver, UDACITY.com offers a free course about the Introduction to General Psychology. Since, we're Psych students here..I thought that I really have to let you know about it. The course is free and you just have to have a computer and a good internet connection and you're good to go. This free course from UDACITY.com would be helpful for us, it would serve as a refresher too. So, what are you waiting for. Enroll now!

Check out Udacity's massive list of courses. You can check their courses at any time and it's all free.
